Birth Date:

Charles Min Hu is a highly talented artist with a lifelong passion for artistry that began in his childhood. Originally from Shanghai, China's largest city, he served as the Technical Director of the Shanghai Jade Arts Company and as a teacher at Shanghai Arts College, where he specialized in teaching ivory carving. Additionally, he contributed as a special correspondent to the Shanghai Arts and Crafts magazine and was involved with the Shanghai Industry Design Association and Shanghai Technical Aesthetics Association.
Since the early 1980s, Mr. Hu, an experienced sculptor and art education professional, has garnered acclaim for his artworks, which have been collected and exhibited across North America, Japan, France, Russia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and various museums in China. His philosophy, "I have a good grasp of basics. It gives me freedom in the art realm," underscores his mastery and approach to his craft. He is also noted for his achievements as an art historian and painter.
Although most of his creative endeavors take place in his studio, Charles Min Hu finds inspiration in the natural world. Upon moving to Canada, he swiftly joined the Sculptors Society of British Columbia, contributing to the integration of Chinese cultural influences within Western art.
Residing in Vancouver with his family, Charles has established a presence in fine art galleries across British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario.
