Les HARPER is a Northwest Coast carver.
He is from the Carrier Nation near Prince George, British Columbia.
The artist learned wood carving under the tutelage of his older brother, Doug Harper, and elder George Matilpi. Les has been carving since 1958.
He presently lives outside Vancouver. He enjoys carving eagles, hummingbirds, Canada
