Sam (Samayualie) Qiatsuq is a prominent Inuit carver from Cape Dorset, Nunavut, born on March 20, 1987. He hails from a family rich in artistic heritage; his father, Qiatsuq Qiatsuq, and his uncle, Palaya Qiatsuq, are both esteemed carvers.

Specializing in materials native to his region, such as serpentine and caribou antler, Sam creates sculptures primarily depicting birds, owls, and inukshuks. His work is characterized by meticulous craftsmanship and a distinctive style, earning him recognition as one of the leading carvers of his generation. Beyond his artistry, Sam is part of a larger family of carvers. His brothers, Abraham and Mickey Qiatsuq, also engage in carving, with Abraham focusing on bears and Mickey contributing less frequently. Their father, Joanasie Manning, is married to Mary (Qiatsuq) Manning, granddaughter of Lukta Qiatsuq, further intertwining the family's artistic legacy.
